July 17, 2025 - The Comal Education Foundation and the Comal ISD Council of PTAs are hosting a backpack and school supply drive for neighboring students in Kerrville ISD who have been affected by the flood on July 4.
The goal is to provide 100 backpacks and school supplies to elementary students in need. Working with Kerrville ISD and the Kerrville Education Foundation, the two groups are spearheading the drive.
“We have joined forces to help our fellow parents during this difficult time,” says Lizette Goodloe, Ed.D., executive director of the Comal Education Foundation. “We hope this will give them one less thing to worry about as the new school year begins.”
The drive ends on Friday, July 25. Donated items may be dropped off between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday at the Comal ISD Support Services building, 1404 IH-35 North in New Braunfels.
A list of school supplies may be found on the Kerrville ISD website here.
